Canmore: Fun Things To Do

Canmore is a great place to explore with family and friends, nestled between mountains and just a hop, skip, and a jump away from Banff! You’ll find a ton of attractions, shopping, activities and restaurants in this quaint town, without the hustle and bustle of Banff.

This resort is one of the most scenic mountain golf resorts we have ever seen! Guests are welcomed with views of the Rockies and wildlife all around them. If you happen to work up an appetite on the 600 acre course, take your pick of one of either Rustica Steakhouse, the Patio, or Stoney’s Bar.

Eager to see Canmore from a bit of a different perspective? Check out the mountains, wildlife and forests from the comfort of a raft! These raft tours are ideal for beginner-level rafters, to the advanced, with all tours offering transportation from the river back to downtown.

Providing guests with quality food in an authentic Western atmosphere is what Brewster is all about! Here you can enjoy live western entertainment, line dancing, gunfire shows, and native hoop dancing. The ultimate destination for anyone wanting to dive back into the wild wild west.

Here you can enjoy craft beer brewed purely from Rocky Mountain water, with names to reflect the local community spirit that drives the brewery. The establishment features a storefront and tasting room on one side, and a restaurant on the other.

All tours offer a local snack or meal, behind the scenes access, interpretive Canadian Rockies experience and delicious beer and beverages to follow! The Canmore Brewery and Distillery tours are nothing short of extraordinary as the tours are led by knowledgeable guides and showcase Canmore and Banff’s craft scene.

Walking tours, such as the one led by Active by Nature, are a great way to experience the Rocky Mountains and wildlife, up close and personal. Walks are conducted on the town’s trail system and focus on developing the skills of Nordic walking, which burns mega calories (basically cross country skiing, without the skis!)
